An anchoring attraction at Disney’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run puts guests in control of the most beloved hunk of junk around.

As the producer, my role was to deliver on a massive creative promise—letting fans live out a lifelong dream of piloting the Falcon—while strictly managing the park’s operational and business requirements.

Partnering with Creative Director Asa Kalama, I coordinated a highly diverse network of global teams. This required aligning and protecting a singular vision across vastly different disciplines, including the Lucasfilm story group, interactive software developers, ride engineers, show set designers, shipbuilders and park operational/maintenance teams.

The attraction delivered ahead of schedule, met the park’s commercial goals, and became an immediate guest favorite. The project was recognized with the 2020 THEA Award for Outstanding Achievement - Attraction.
